We love to eat & eat we did. My roomie and I headed to Madison Square park for a taste of food truck heaven.

NYFW SP. 2012. JUAN CARLOS OBANDO.

The Juan Carlos Obando Spring 2012 collection was presented against an enormous backdrop of fresh flowers, each one handpicked by the Colombian designer. Imagine the aroma in the room? yes, it was as lovely as the beautifully draped silk satin slip dresses.__________

 La colección Primavera 2012 de Juan Carlos Obando fue presentada frente a un enorme telón de flores frescas, cada una seleccionada por el diseñador colombiano. Imagínense el aroma en sl lugar? Definitivamente era tan encantador como los hermosos vestidos.

These photographs don’t even begin to capture the grandness of the Spring 2012 Chado Ralph Rucci show, from the moment you entered the room you knew you were about to witness something special. Once the tape was ripped of the runway, the lights were dimmed and the music began playing you suddenly heard the wave of camera clicks and flashes, as the first model walked out, finally revealing Rucci’s collection, which was simply breathtaking. Every look was so chic and tailored to perfection. I loved everything about this collection including the see-through gloves and of course the shoes which were designed exclusively by Manolo Blahnik! Overall each look was stunning, with a constant element of surprise~the mirror at the head of the white lacquered runway reflected a glimpse of what you were about to see and the back views were as impressive as the front. The show was spectacular and it became more evident when Rucci came out at the end and received a standing ovation! This show was undoubtedly my favorite, I can’t believe I got to see it with my own eyes; I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them, I want to hear what you think!__________
Estas fotografías ni siquiera empiezan a capturar la grandeza del Chado Ralph Rucci show Primavera 2012. Desde el momento en que entrabas al lugar sentías que estabas a punto de presenciar algo muy especial. Esta colección fue simplemente impresionante. Cada look era impecable, hecho a la perfección y siempre con un elemento de sorpresa. En general el show fue espectacular y se hizo más evidente cuando Rucci salió al final y recibió una ovación de pie! Este show fue, sin duda, mi favorito, no puedo creer que tuve la suerte de verlo, espero que disfruten las fotos tanto como yo disfruté tomarlas, quiero saber que opinan!

NYFW SP. 2012. CHADWICK BELL.

After a dose of bold colors from the night before the next morning we headed to the Chadwick Bell Spring 2012 presentation at the Standard Hotel in the heart of the meatpacking district. The soft palette of the collection meshed perfectly with the maple wood backdrop of the room overlooking the Hudson River. All the looks exuded romantic sophistication, I thought the trench coat would be a timeless piece for any type of girl and completely fell in love with the simplicity of the champagne silk faille gown. (I would totally wear it if the top was not so sheer lol).__________  

Después de la dosis de colores llamativos la noche anterior el día siguiente nos dirigimos a la presentación primavera 2012 de Chadwick Bell en el Standard Hotel en el corazón del meatpacking distict. Los colores suaves de la colección iban perfectamente con el fondo de madera de la hermosa habitación con vista al río Hudson. Todos los looks eran románticos con un toque de sofisticación, siento que la gabardina sería una pieza clásica para cualquier closet y me enamore de la sencillez del vestido largo color champagne. (Me encantaría usarlo si la parte de arriba no fuera tán transparente jaja). 

But the highlight of the presentation came when in the middle of taking pictures I turned to my left and saw the most impeccable dressed woman, after a second look, I realized it was none other than Mrs. Carolina Herrera herself (!). I immediately let my friend Maria know and we were both just mesmerized by the way she carried herself, such a classy lady. Thanks to Maria we met and took a picture with her. (earlier that day we went to the launch of the Missoni collection at Target hence our outfits lol!) Let me know what you think! I love when you comment!__________

Pero lo mejor fue cuando a media presentación mientras tomaba mis fotos de repente veo entrar a una mujer vestida impecable, después de verla bien me di cuenta que era la diseñadora Carolina Herrera (!). Súper Classy. Mi amiga María y yo estábamos fascinadas por que la conocimos y nos tomamos foto con ella. (esa mañana fue el launch de la colección de Missoni para Target he ahí nuestros outfits jaja!) Díganme que opinan, me encantá cuando comentan! Gracias! xo-Mars.
